China Railway No.4 Engineering Group Co., Ltd. (CREC4) hosted a promotion meeting on April 21 in Shenzhen, Guangdong Province, to boost its construction of a “big business system.”
CREC4 kicked off the Quality Engineering Construction Observation and Big Business System Exchanges Promotion Meeting for the Year 2023 in Shenzhen, intending to follow the new demand of the times, bolster its sustainable competitive advantages and seek better high-quality development.
On the basis of traditional cost management, big business management aims to see multi-party collaboration and linkage, through strengthening various links such as business operation expansion, project fulfillment, operating cost control, property right confirmation and settlement, assessment and incentives. It eyes the goals of choosing excellent projects, top management, detailed calculation and full income, in a bid to win better market share and the recognition of project owners, elevating a company’s economic efficiency and its core competitiveness.
Han Yonggang, general manager of CREC4, Zhu Xiaoyong, a member of the Standing Committee of CPC Committee at CREC4, deputy general manager and chief economist of CREC4 who also serves as the chief of CREC4 South China Regional Operations Command, and Liu Guang, a member of the Standing Committee of CPC Committee at CREC4 and deputy general manager of CREC4 attended the meeting at the main venue in Shenzhen, which also drew some 110 leaders from relevant departments at CREC4 headquarters and its subsidiaries. Participants from each CREC4 subsidiary and those stationed at construction sites participated in the meeting at each branch venue via video link.
The Quality Engineering Construction Observation event covers two sites in Shenzhen: The Binhai (Sea-side) Avenue Traffic Comprehensive Renovation Project undertaken by CREC4 Fifth Engineering Co., Ltd, and the Guiwan River Bridge project, built by the CREC4 Steel Structure Construction Co. at the city’s Qianhai Shenzhen-Hong Kong Modern Service Industrial Cooperation Zone.
In his key-note speech at the promotion meeting, Han Yonggang called on CREC4 staffers to enhance standardization construction, big business management, and work safety operation work. He noted that all the CREC4 staffers should truly focus on practical work and carry out value-creation actions in all aspects.
Zhu Xiaoyong called on the participants to pay attention to four areas of work: taking business management planning as the path, eyeing “three basic tasks” as support, putting responsibility cost control as the focus, and cracking key work difficulties as breakthroughs.
In his speech, Liu Guang called on the participants to focus on three spheres of work: bolstering quality engineering construction, perfecting construction and production, and enhancing work safety and quality.
During the meeting, the CREC4 Big Business Management Department unveiled the implementation plan for solidifying the big business system this year at CREC4. And relevant CREC4 subsidiaries reported their experiences to the conference.
Big business management is a major task deployed by China Railway Group Limited — the parent company of CREC4 — in 2022.
