The Hefei-based China Railway No.4 Engineering Group Co., Ltd. (CREC4) has signed a strategic agreement with Urumqi-based Xinjiang Tianshan Cement Co., Ltd, in a bid to boost bilateral cooperation.

Liu Bo, Party secretary and chairman of CREC4, and Zhao Xinjun, deputy Party secretary and president of Xinjiang Tianshan Cement, attended the signing ceremony in Hefei on May 12.

As a listed company, Xinjiang Tianshan Cement was established in November 1998 and is the largest cement manufacturer in Northwest China, as well as the largest oil-well cement production base, and a major special cement production base in the country. Xinjiang Tianshan Cement is also a subsidiary of China National Building Material Group Co., Ltd. (CNBM).

During their cordial meeting, Liu told Zhao that CREC4 is a large-scale construction enterprise with comprehensive construction capabilities. Since implementing a direct procurement and supply model in August 2020 of buying bulk materials from manufacturers, CREC4 has established strategic cooperation ties with some CNBM subsidiaries, Liu said.

Zhao noted that currently, Xinjiang Tianshan Cement’s business scope includes the manufacture and sales of cement, commercial concrete and aggregates, and its markets cover 25 provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities in North China, East China, Central China, Southwest China and Northwest China.

Following a principle of “friendly consultation, mutual benefit, and win-win cooperation,” the strategic agreement between the two sides aims to explore cooperation in such spheres at engineering construction, industrial collaboration, innovative business, green and low-carbon industries.

Meanwhile, the Communist Party of China (CPC) committees at CREC4 and Xinjiang Tianshan Cement also signed an agreement on joint enhancement of Party building, so as to bolster each other’s Party building brand.
